The Wonderful Wizard of Oz

Okay, I'm a dork. I started looking through my pictures from Wizard of Oz, thinking I would post some of them in a couple days or so, and I can't help it, I just have to post some now.
For those of you who didn't know, I was in Up In One's production of The Wizard of Oz at The Center for Performing Arts at Rhinebeck this past June and July. I was in the ensemble. More particularly, I played the Barrister of Munchkinland, a tree, a beautician, an "optimistic voice", and a jitterbug. As cliche as it sounds, it was a great learning experience. This show had the most dancing in it that I had had to do up to that time (not one of my strongest points) and I also had to deal with a ridiculous amount of children (munchkins) and their parents which meant trying to keep a clean mouth and positive attitude at all times (most certainly not one of my strongest points).
So... enjoy this smattering of pictures from the show and perhaps I'll post some more later.

  1. Wow, looks like we missed another great show! I wish we lived close enough to take them all in but a realistic goal from this distance is once a year, I think. That way maybe you'll remember us when you make it to the big time!

  2. Haha! I won't be forgetting you guys anytime soon. I completely understand you not be able to make every single show I'm in. Not only have I been in a ridiculous number this year, but you do have a bit of a drive. Besides you should save up your miles till it's something really worthwhile!

  5. Well, Elizabeth, as soon as I have the dvd from Wizard you can count on being forced to sit through a viewing.

Barbara, I'll get right on that.
